What about the website and traffic?

Thu, 10 July 2008 in General

Alright, we had some very important questions come up with my sneak peak post that I put up yesterday.

Here are the main questions. Of course, feel free to post more in the comments here on the blog.

Question #1 - What exactly is private label rights (PLR)?

PLR basically gives you the right to do whatever you want with the product. In a sense the product becomes yours, except for the fact that I still have the rights to do with it as I see fit.

Here are just a few things you can do with PLR products:

-sell them for whatever price you want and keep 100% of the profits
-repackage them with other products
-give them away
-rebrand them to make them your own
-add them as bonuses to existing products or to affiliate products
-make a membership site with access to them and collect monthly fees
-sell resale rights or private label rights to the products
-whatever you want!

In essence it is as if you made the product yourself.

Question #2 - Ok, so I’ll have a product, but what about a website? How do I set all of that up?

This is the biggest problem that most PLR sales have. They give you the product, but you are still stuck wondering what to do.

Well, I answer this problem by doing two things:

1. I give you the money making web pages that I used (and still use) to sell these products. All the content is pre-written, including squeeze pages, sales pages, and even the download areas in most cases.

However, that still leaves you wondering how to set up everything through FTP, including linking your payment processor, auto-responder, and affiliate program, so…

2. I am also giving you a month’s free access to our new software Membership Base which does all of that for you at the push of a button.

Basically all you’ll have to do is plug it in and away you go! (Well, almost, as you’ll see in Question #3.)

I am also giving you a free month to Your Squeeze Page so that you can make unlimited squeeze pages for your products as well.

In other words, you’ll have the product, templates, and even the software necessary to bypass the need to learn HTML, PHP, MySQL, FTP, and all that other unfun stuff.

Question #3 - That’s still not enough. What about traffic?

That is true. You can set up a website and plug in the product, but that sure won’t make you any money.

You need traffic, and you need it bad.

This was probably the trickiest thing for me to add in, as I can’t just sell traffic (you can go and “buy traffic” through many providers, but it’s not good traffic unless you are doing it right).

That is why I am including the following:

1. One month free to BBO Traffic Club. There are a ton of step-by-step videos on how to get traffic.

2. One month free to Your Tell a Friend. This software will help you multiply any traffic you get through a viral tell-a-friend generator (no HTML skills required).

3. One month free to The Ad Ninja. This super-powerful software will allow you to dominate Google Adwords in almost any market.

These bonuses should be more than enough to get you tons of targeted traffic to help you make even more sales.

Any other questions?

If you have any other questions, go ahead and post a comment here and I will do my best to address it before tomorrow at 12pm EDT.

Here are the links you will need for tomorrow:

I actually loved your plr product so much that I’ already put it up on a website. I use article marketing and google adwords (lol) to market and I’ve already started getting sales. I think this is great, but when my goal is to retire from my job, how do I contact the right JV partners or advertise on ezines.. I set up a squeeze page AFTER people buy that will sign them up to a newsletter, and I would love to promote others products, but is there a “correct” way to make a jv request, or a good place to go

    Just to clarify things…

    Matt, You Said:
“PLR basically gives you the right to do whatever you want with the product. In a sense the product becomes yours, except for the fact that I still have the rights to do with it as I see fit.”

This may be true for YOUR product offer, but it’s not entirely true for PLR in general.

Public Label Rights are products or content sold by the creator to individuals; however, the rights are specified by the creator and are not the same across the board.

Meaning, not every PLR product gives the buyer total freedom to do what they want with the content. Those terms are set by the creator of the PLR products and must be followed by the buyer.

I figured it’s best to say this right away because if they go somewhere else and buy PLR content the terms could be totally different.

It’s a good thing to be familiar with the terms being offered by the PLR creator before you part with your cash!

    All good things,

I don’t have a website yet. Hopefully within the next month.
I think I’ll have to start with a blog.

Hi Matthew. Where do I find my posts to this blog? How much does all this cost? Where do I go to get started?

    Hi Matthew,
PLR can be a confusing topic. Finding the right quality PLR is often the issue, there is a lot of poor quality PLR.

    Dear Matthew:

Thank you for your offer of a free PLR product. I am a newbie and don’t have a lot of capital. I need to know what the costs are of the squeeze page, traffic club and tell-a -friend after the 1 month trial is over. Basically, I need to know all my costs to get this business up and running. I tried researching these costs but couldn’t get past the member log in page.

    Thank you,

    CJ
