Discover cPanel - Capitalize on 404 Error Pages

How would you like to make money when people go to the wrong page on your website?

cPanel expert Bob Jenkins was kind enough to put together a free training video on how you can change your default 404 page (i.e. the page people see when they go to a non-existent page on your website) to a new potential stream of income.

Thank you. The video was great. I have experienced going to the wrong
page and wondered how they put all the new information on the page. Now I
know and will beable to do it also. Thanks again.

Thank you so much Matthew! This was very helpful to have a step-by-step tutorial for those of us who are visual learners.

Many thanks for getting this video shown, I was slightly confused by the tabs at the top of the error page, but as bob showed, it really is quite simple and worth the effort,

Right, I’m off to build my error page empire!!

    Thanks!

A really great presentation. I am lost in cpanel and even worse with the Web Host Manager. I haven’t even had the courage to look at Virtuozo Power Panel. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the information. The video showed how simple it in fact is to make use of errorpages. I do not have cpanel on my site, but I will certainly go and find out how I can use the information to make my errorpages pages of value for me and my visitors.

    Greetings,

In watcing the 404 error page video, everytime I get to the 8:06 time frame the video freezes.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Margriet,
Your file manager of your website should have a 404.shtml page inside the public_html directory. You can edit that page like I showed in the video.

For everyone else — it’s my pleasure to have been able to provide this video to you and other members of Matthew’s community. You are in good hands here.

Remember, if you’d like to see how to use more of the features of CPanel, we have 15 total videos at DiscoverCPanel that you can download and watch.

My favorite one that we have is how to take a resell rights product from your hard drive to a working sales page (with your own affiliate program) in about 20 minutes. Using CPanel and a popular merchant service (not Clickbank!).

The 404 error page video was so good I’ve purchased the whole series.
I’m so glad to have found DiscoverCPanel. It answers all the questions and confusion I’ve been experiencing with CPanel and hosting in general.

    Thanks,

    Matthew:
My husband and I are in the process of learning about setting up our website, what to sell on it, etc. We are the newbies.
After listening to this video, I understand how more traffic would be redirected and how powerful it is.
I have often wondered why someone didn’t do something about landing on an error page.
Thank you for helping me to understand how useful this site will be for us.
Also, we have learned much from your videos.
Thank you Michael, for your assitance and time.

Thank you for a great video explaining how to solve the 404 error page. I’d heard of this before but your video prompted me to implement.

I was also trying to add this solution to my ‘Add On domains’ (not subdomains) but access only seems to be to my original host site? Any solutions to this one? Thanks
